King Tiger Sd.Kfz. 182 w. Henschel Turret – TAKOM 1/35: Part 1

A life without model making is possible but pointless! So now for some tank modeling besides my daily job and my ph.d. thesis. I built my last tank some 20 years ago, so there are new aspects to learn. This Tiger II will be part of a diorama, probably an Ardennes diorama.
 

Both engine cooler units will be visible underneath the grills of the rear deck.
So I built them according the instructions using red oxide primer as a base coat.

Weathering was done with washes and some chipping with acrylic paints.

Upper hull dry fitted over the lower hull. Grills are still missing.
